Raoul, the Little Devil from Marne - Digital Game

Objective of the game: Using Raoul’s journal and a free smartphone app, you’ll set off through the town of Marnaz to discover what prank he played on the village. Along the way, your smartphone will help you learn more about the town’s history and heritage. At the end of the route, you’ll need to solve puzzles left behind by Raoul. How to play: Head to the Cluses tourist office to pick up your game kit and download the free app—which is essential for completing the game. One kit is needed for the whole family. Our team will explain how the game and the app work. It couldn’t be simpler! The itinerary: The route begins at the Marnaz Town Hall parking lot. First, you’ll need to go to the Cluses Tourist Office to pick up your game kit. Then, you’ll need to drive to Marnaz (a 10-minute drive). The game route follows a loop through the town, and your smartphone will guide you. The route is not difficult. Wearing closed-toe shoes is recommended. Part of the route is on the road, and it can get hot there in the summer. Location: Marnaz is located in the valley, about 4 km from Cluses, on the road to Bonneville. The game starts at the Marnaz town hall, but to complete the course, you’ll need to pick up the game kit at the Cluses tourist office. Things to Do and See in the Village: If you’d like to set out on another hike, start at the Marnaz town hall, follow the hiking trail markers, and take the “Alpages de la Biolle” and “Praz Bassoux” routes. You can download the hike description here. Food and Drink: You can have a picnic near the Marnaz church or along the Marnaz stream, behind the retirement home. You’ll find places to eat or do some shopping in downtown Marnaz, near the game’s starting point. Finding shade: Part of the game takes place in built-up areas, but there is a shaded section along the Marnaz stream. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces in front of and behind the Marnaz Town Hall. Restrooms: There are no public restrooms in Marnaz. For individuals, no reservation is required. For groups and school groups, it is best to contact the tourist office.
