Description
In the hollow of the mountain, all creatures fall asleep: humans, animals—domestic and wild, prey and predators—all come together in their dreams for a welcome respite.
In this shared realm, the scales of time and space intertwine and merge; a single flap of a wing lasts a season, trees draw their sap from starlight, and stalactites grow before our very eyes... The connections linking the various cycles of life are revealed—timeless and unexpected. A dialogue between music and drawing unfolds, centered on the question of time, which spreads across both sides of the stage. Émilie Tarascou draws in front of the camera. Pencils, brushes, pen, chalk, watercolors, inks… As the line progresses, the landscapes transform, filling with animated loops. What will this line, advancing before our eyes, eventually form? Surrounded by a dozen electroacoustic instruments, Simon Kansara creates live music consisting of ethereal loops
that evolve alongside the drawing. Plucked or bowed strings, winds, keyboards, beats… the varied timbres add immersive colors to the drawings and lull the viewer into a gentle trance.
