The practice of cold yoga (toumo) was developed mainly by Tibetans in the Himalayas, in very "hostile" conditions.
During our snowshoe hike, we'll practice yoga postures, activate our breathing, contract our muscles and rub our bodies to activate internal heat. We'll use our breath as a tool of awareness. These are all ways of reconnecting with our environment and ourselves, and learning how to better combat the cold.
