Ideally located between Geneva and Chamonix, this former inn—which once held the concession for tours of the Balme Caves and offered a few rooms in the last century—has been tastefully and modernly renovated while preserving the spirit of the place. From the subtle blend of colors and cement tiles to the vintage moldings and even the wrought-iron balcony bearing the inscription “1888,” everything here reminds you that you’re in a place steeped in history... The eclectic decor, reminiscent of a cabinet of curiosities, was designed by the Montagnardes – Café de Balme design studio. Designer furniture sits alongside antique pieces and works by artists. A delicate blend of colors and styles creates a unique experience. ​ Our five rooms, each very different from the others, are sure to surprise and charm you. L’ANNEXE 1888 offers shared spaces to help you feel right at home. Bedroom 1: one 180x200 double bed Bedroom 2: one 180x200 double bed (can be separated into two 90x200 single beds) Bedroom 3: one 200x200 double bed + one single bed Bedroom 4: one 180x200 double bed (can be separated into two 90x200 single beds) Loft: one double bed (200x200) + option to convert the sofa into two sleeping spaces. The loft is equipped with a fully furnished kitchenette: oven, dishwasher, ironing equipment, microwave, refrigerator, induction cooktop... Staff can provide toothbrushes, razors, and sanitary napkins upon request. There is an additional charge for this service.
