VIVA! is a true story about a Spanish family caught in the midst of the Civil War and Franco’s dictatorship. On stage, a desk. In its drawers, objects—chalk, tape, a stapler, a pencil sharpener—attempt to piece together history.
Without ever forgetting the redemptive power of humor, VIVA! explores the weight of silences, the collective responsibility lurking within individual actions, and celebrates the ability of a society—and a family—to heal and transform itself.
This show won three awards at the Lleida Festival in 2024 (Spain), was ranked among the top 10 shows by El País (2025), and received the award for best documentary show at the FETEN Fair (2026).
