A walk to explore forest life and a hamlet like Romme. Starting in the village center, this hike is accessible in both summer and winter. Snowshoes are recommended when there is snow on the ground.

From the restaurant, continue along the road for 100 m and be sure to take the trail on the left toward “Tour de la Tête de Romme.” Before reaching the forest, follow the sign on your right for “Tour de la Tête de Romme via Charvet.” Then follow the signs for “Tour de la Tête de Romme.” The main challenge of this loop is the steep 300-meter descent. After this descent, turn left onto the path marked “Tour de Romme via Les Sangles”; it will take you back to the hamlet. Alternative Route: Take the steep 150-meter climb to the left at the start of the descent. You’ll reach the summit of the Tête de Romme (1,463 m). Continue straight ahead to retrace your steps. Avoid this route in bad weather—rocky ridge Be sure to bring hiking poles and waterproof hiking boots to get the most out of your hike.

At the entrance to Romme, park in the parking lot on the right (across from the ski club). Head toward the chapel and take the "Chemin de l'École." The trail begins past the restaurant "La Rebloche."
