Tour des Fiz: The Must-See - 4 days, via Les Fonts

Day 1: Plaine-Joux - Platé - Sales Depart from Passy Plaine-Joux and climb to the Platé refuge. Then on to the Sales refuge via the Col de la Portette. Overnight stay at the Sales refuge. > 5h40 approx. 11km. Total ascent: 1150m - Total descent: 650m > Equivalent in effort km: 24. Day 2: Sales - Les Fonts From Sales, reach the Fonts refuge via the Pleureuse and Sauffaz waterfalls and the carriage trail. Overnight stay at the Fonts refuge. > 9km. Approx. 3h30 walking time. Total ascent: 400m - Total descent: 900m. > Equivalent in effort km: 15. Day 3: Les Fonts - Alfred Wills Departure from the Refuge des Fonts to reach the Refuge Alfred Wills via the small Col d'Anterne. Overnight stay at Alfred Wills. > 6km. 2h40 walk. Ascent: 700m - Descent: 250m > Equivalent in effort km: 13.5. Day 4: Alfred Wills - Anterne - Moëde - Lac Vert - Plaine-Joux Depart from the Alfred Wills refuge and return to Plaine Joux via Lac d'Anterne and Col d'Anterne. Then take the 4×4 track to Ayères des Pierrières. Alternatively, you can go via Lac de Pormenaz to Plaine-Joux, via the Châtelet d'Ayères refuge and Lac Vert. (There are 2 paths to Plaine-Joux if you want to go via Lac de Pormenaz: the Chordes, with its many ladders and handrails, or the Argentières, with its handrails.
