Tour des Ayères from the Barmus chairlift

Take the new Barmus chairlift to reach the starting point. Begin your hike with a descent toward Les Mollays, then continue on toward Ayères des Rocs and Ayères des Pierrières. After passing the hamlet, head down to the right toward Les Chalets du Souay and turn right again to head toward Ayères du Milieu and Le Gouet before arriving at the charming Châtelet d’Ayères mountain hut (don’t miss the restaurant and terrace). Before returning to Passy Plaine-Joux, take the trail down toward the idyllic Lac Vert. Please note: - The route can be completed as a loop starting from the resort without taking the chairlift. To do this, take the trail that climbs toward Barmus. - The chairlift is available in July and August according to the resort’s operating hours.
