Welcome to the Explor Games® experience The Secret of Le Reposoir is a unique adventure that combines an orienteering course with an outdoor escape game. Come take on a digital scavenger hunt—with real-life challenges and obstacles! In Le Reposoir, you’ll take on the roles of Monk Jean d’Espagne’s companions and must battle dark forces to uncover the village’s secret. Your mission is to build a haven of peace there for centuries to come. But are you up to the task? Objective of the game: Using a tablet available for rent at the Reposoir tourist office, you’ll set out on a walk through the village, completing various challenges to help Jean d’Espagne fulfill his quest. Choose from 2 routes: - Short route > duration: 2 hours / distance: 3.2 km / €8 per person The short route is ideal for younger children (ages 8 and up) and those who don’t want to walk too long. Last departure: 4:00 PM - Long route > duration: 3 hours / distance: 4.5 km / €12 per person The long route is ideal for people who enjoy or are used to hiking and who are ready to take on all the challenges! Last departure: 3:30 PM. How to play? Go to the Reposoir tourist office to pick up your tablet. It contains the story and the game route. You’ll use it to solve the puzzles and find your way. Deposit: A deposit of €480 per tablet is required when you pick up the tablet. This deposit is payable in cash or by credit card (checks are not accepted). This deposit will be forfeited in the event of damage to or loss of equipment (tablet, games, locations, etc.). It is your responsibility to take good care of the rented equipment and the games used. Do I need to make a reservation? We have a limited number of tablets available. It’s best to reserve your tablet to ensure you’ll be able to play during your visit. You can reserve your tablet in the morning, enjoy a picnic, and return it in the afternoon (before 6:00 PM). You can make your reservation online, by email, or by simply calling the Reposoir Tourist Office (04 50 98 18 01). The route: The trail begins at the Reposoir Tourist Office and follows a loop through the village that will take you near the Carmelite Monastery of Reposoir (which you’ll have time to visit) and then into the forest before bringing you back to your starting point. There are no major difficulties along the trail. However, part of the route is in direct sunlight with no shade, and it can get hot. You must be in good physical condition and wear hiking shoes or sneakers to complete the hike. Be sure to bring a backpack and a bottle of water. Rainy day? Not recommended. Location: Le Reposoir is located in the mid-mountain region, a 15-minute drive from Cluses. Things to do and see in the village: In the village, you’ll find a playground, a soccer field (the Tourist Office will lend you a ball upon request), and other hiking trails. Several farms offer guided tours. Feel free to stop by our tourist information office for more details. Eating and drinking: You can have a picnic in the shade near the Chapel of Blessed John of Spain or on the grass next to the church. For those who love the sun, there are picnic tables in the village and near the Tourist Office. If needed, the grocery store at the village entrance sells food and drinks. The La Chartreuse hotel-restaurant offers a children’s menu, high chairs, and a changing table. You can also enjoy a drink or a homemade ice cream on the terrace. Finding shade: Part of the game takes place in the cool shade of the forest, but the sun is often out along the route. Parking: Plenty of spaces available on the church square and in the RV parking lot. Restrooms: Restrooms are located in the RV parking lot, about 300 m from the Reposoir Tourist Information Office. Reservations are recommended: online, by phone, or at the tourist office.
