A beautiful hike through the heart of the Jorasse Forest—which is traditionally covered in deep snow—to reach the highest point, Avenaz, and its chalets. There’s a lovely view of the mountains waiting for you at the summit!
Following the forest road there and back, this challenging hike will take you through the forest at first, then offer a beautiful, unobstructed view of the Mont Blanc range and the Aiguilles de Warens once you reach the summit.
A map is available at the tourist office to help you explore this trail and other routes.
Guided snowshoe hikes:
During these hikes, a mountain guide will accompany you and lead you safely through the forests and along the ridges. These fun, easy, and themed excursions are tailored to the participants’ skill levels. They’ll help you get to know our natural environment better. You can satisfy your curiosity by asking your guide questions. You’ll see just how different the landscape looks from the heights of Cordon. Group or private snowshoe tours are available.
