A trail that winds through blueberry bushes in a magnificent spruce forest and across alpine meadows, offering a magnificent view of the entire Mont Blanc range.
Set out to explore the Chalets de l'Avenaz: to begin your adventure, head to the Lezaive d'en Haut parking lot. From there, a well-marked trail will lead you through the forest to Les Plaines, where picnic tables are available for a short break.
Continue on toward the Chalets de l’Avenaz: this typical alpine pasture, nestled in the heart of the mountains, is the perfect spot to admire the surrounding peaks.
Your path will eventually lead you to the Col de Jaillet, offering breathtaking views of the valley and the neighboring mountain ranges.
Suitable for hikers at the orange level (fairly difficult), this trail is also an excellent choice on very hot days, thanks to its elevation and shaded areas.
A map is available at the tourist office to help you explore this trail and other routes.
No matter which hike you choose, be sure to pack cereal bars, plenty of water, sunglasses, sunscreen, a small first-aid kit, and clothing appropriate for your outing based on the season and the forecast.
This route can also be done with a guide by hiring a private mountain guide.
