An easy hike to the summit of Tête du Danay. From Lac des Confins, reach one of the finest viewpoints in the Aravis range, at the crossroads of the communes of La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt.
Ideal for a family outing, the route starts in the hamlet of Confins, at the Arpettaz parking lot. At the foot of the Aravis mountain range, the scenery is breathtaking, with magnificent views of the surrounding peaks.
Heading towards Le Danay, you follow a path through rolling countryside, pastures, undergrowth and clearings. A large cross marks your arrival at the Tête du Danay, the highest point of the walk.
From its central position, the Tête du Danay offers a magnificent 360° panorama: on one side the Grand-Bornand below and the Bargy range, on the other the Aravis range and its numerous combes. Several orientation tables at the summit will help you better read the surrounding landscape.
Once you've returned to Les Confins, don't hesitate to take the time to enjoy the lake and the many activities available in summer.
Whatever hike you choose, remember to pack snacks, enough water, sunglasses, sunscreen, a small first-aid kit, as well as clothing suitable for your outing depending on the season and the weather forecast.
