Description
A varied walk in the Danay sector, between forest, snow-covered meadows and superb views of the Thônes valley. Intermediate level.
Route from the Granges Reservoir:
Follow the road for 200 meters, then take the path on the left for 1 kilometer and follow the trail markers. Be careful on the section running alongside the cross-country ski trail (stay to the right). Take the path on the left and head up to the edge of the woods. Join the Route du Danay and turn right. Head back down to the Granges Reservoir.
Route from the Bartavelles picnic area:
Take the trail through the forest for 500 meters, then turn left toward Les Frasses and follow the trail markers. Be careful on the section running alongside the cross-country ski trail (keep to the right). Take the path on the left and head back up to the edge of the woods. Reach the Route du Danay and walk downhill for 2 km, then take the path on the right to return to the picnic area.
