Behind City Hall stands St. Nicholas Church, a parish church that, until the French Revolution, served as the church of the Cordeliers convent—which explains the elegant simplicity of this 17th-century building.

In particular, it houses a remarkable Flamboyant Gothic-style holy water font that is designated a Historic Monument. Near the church, in the Jardin des Cordeliers, a monument dedicated to the musician François Curt (1791–1859) was created by the sculptor Suzanne Laurent. It was erected in 1930.
