The village hosts one of the biggest markets in Haute-Savoie where local produce takes pride of place.
The market in Samoëns is full of stalls selling fruit and vegetables, meat and deli products, fish, and bread. During the school holidays, the market fills the entire village and also includes clothing and regional specialities. It's more than just a market - it's a meeting-place not to be missed.
Parking restrictions on market day.
In July and August: access to the market by a free little train from the Grand Massif Express parking lot, accessible either from Morillon or via the municipal swimming pool from Verchaix and Taninges. The Avenue du Giffre, which provides access to the village center from Morillon, is closed on market days.
- TipsFree transport by the little train from 9.30am to 1pm. It goes from the GME gondola to the cinema then to the Citroën petrol station/garage.
