Saint-françois-de-Sales church

A second one was built in the north-east. In the 19th century, the parish of Faucigny was joined with the one of Peillonnex. The church having disappeared, a new one was built inside the village in 1854. Originally, the parish church was dedicated to Saint Ymier, a monk from Jura. However, during the 17th century he was associated with the famous local saint apostle of the laity, Francis de Sales (1567-1622), canonized in 1665 and attested here from 1679. The new church built in the 19th century. In 1867, the interior decoration was entrusted to the painter J.B Ferraris. They were restored in 2003. The building was listed as a historical monument in 2001.
