A shady walk between the cool of the Pont de Nants and the forest of Les Plaines, for the whole family.
A perfect getaway for families or anyone looking to recharge in the forest, without any major challenges. The route begins on a forest road in the heart of the Jorasse Forest.
Halfway through the hike, you’ll reach Les Plaines, where picnic tables await you. It’s the perfect spot for an outdoor lunch with family or friends.
Want to extend this outing? The forest trail, accessible from Les Plaines, adds an extra 45-minute loop to your hike. This equally accessible path will let you explore even more of the mountain forest, with the chance to observe the local flora and fauna.
This hiking trail, classified as easy, is ideal for (re)discovering nature. This loop leads to the Pont des Nants, a peaceful spot where you can cool off in the summer.
Update as of June 3, 2026: Roadwork on the forest road toward Les Plaines is scheduled through Friday, July 3. This road will therefore be closed during the construction period. To access your route, you can take the Chemin de Cornillon, either uphill or downhill. Contact Cordon Tourisme for more information.
