Description
At the Chevaline Chapel, music lovers and professionals come together to bring music to life and make it accessible to everyone.
Opening the Chevaline Chapel to musicians—both amateur and professional, including
instrumental teachers, whether students or experienced musicians— adults and children, will facilitate
question-and-answer sessions aimed at making different types of music more accessible to all
audiences, showcasing the pianist’s many roles, and inspiring personal projects among young
and old alike.
On the chapel stage and around the piano, the following performers will take the stage:
- Aliona Turenko, piano, and Violaine Josserand, cello, will introduce us to the dialogue
between instruments in chamber music with pieces by Schumann, Tchaikovsky, and Piazzolla, and
Aurore Dubois, a student pianist, will perform Mendelssohn.
- Gérard Planque, baritone, will sing Argentine tangos and a poem by Liszt, accompanied by
Fabienne Tabarié on piano
- Paul Ketterer, piano, and Bernard Klein, tenor saxophone, will help us unravel the art of
improvisation using jazz standard chord progressions. -
- Eva and Sasha Deneuville, on flute and trombone, along with their grandmother Fabienne Tabarié and
François Siéfert, baritone, will perform songs and film scores arranged by the
pianist for their quartet.
Following this session, a light reception is planned, which will also welcome attendees of the 8:00 p.m. concert.
