Safety and Code of Conduct - Please respect private property: stay on the signposted paths. - All routes are used at the hiker’s own risk, as they are not monitored. - In the event of bad weather or impassable snow cover, some routes may be inaccessible. Information is available on the resorts’ websites under the ‘Live piste openings’ section, at Tourist Information Centre or from the piste service. - Following a snowfall, the route remains signposted but has not been groomed. - Choose your route according to your fitness level and the weather conditions. Check the weather forecast. - Remember to bring warm, waterproof clothing. Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly. - Take sufficient food and water with you. Mountain sports require a significant amount of energy. - Never hike alone. - Do not set off too late in the afternoon to ensure you return before nightfall. - Do not use cross-country or downhill ski runs. Crossing the slopes is permitted only at points marked by a sign. Please be mindful of the wildlife around you! In winter, mountain wildlife is particularly vulnerable. By following a few basic guidelines, you can help to protect it: - Use the designated tracks and trails for snowshoeing. - Avoid wooded areas. - Respect sensitive areas marked by protective nets or ropes. - Respect the environment - Remember to keep your dogs on a lead.
