Meet at 10 p.m. at Simon-Berger Park for an outdoor evening featuring a screening of the film “Ma mère, Dieu, et Sylvie Vartan.”

In 1963, Esther gave birth to Roland, the youngest child in a large family. Roland was born with a clubfoot that prevented him from standing upright. Against everyone’s advice, she promised her son that he would walk like everyone else and that he would have a wonderful life. From that moment on, Esther spared no effort to keep that promise. Spanning decades of life’s trials and miracles, this film tells a true story—funny and deeply moving—of an incredible destiny and the greatest love of all: a mother’s love for her child.
