The Manigod Tourist Office is organising an open-air film night
CINEBUS has been organising open-air screenings for 25 years, and we’ve chosen them to treat you to an unforgettable evening!
Screening on 22 July: *Bergers*. Running time: 1 hour 53 minutes
On a whim, Mathyas swaps his life as an advertising executive in Montreal for that of a shepherd in Provence. He hoped to find peace and quiet, but discovers a gruelling job and farmers who are often at their wits’ end. But when he meets Élise, who has also left everything behind, they are entrusted with a flock of 800 sheep and set off on a transhumance. Together, they will face the trials of the mountains and forge a new life for themselves.
Broadcast on 18 August: Mufasa: The Lion King (ages 8 and up). Running time: 1h 58m
Rafiki tells the young lioness Kiara – the daughter of Simba and Nala – the legend of Mufasa. He is helped in this by Timon and Pumbaa, whose catchphrases are now well known. Told through flashbacks, Mufasa’s story is that of an orphaned lion cub, alone and helpless, who one day meets the friendly Taka, heir to a royal lineage. This chance encounter marks the start of an eventful journey for a small group of ‘outcasts’ who have banded together and are now searching for their destiny. Their bonds of friendship will be put to the test when they must join forces to escape an enemy as menacing as he is deadly…
