On view during the media library's opening hours.
The team at the Samoëns municipal library and the Criou Livres association invite you to visit an exhibition of oil paintings by Christine Chevieux, running from June 29 to July 31, 2026.
Christine Chevieux studied at the École des Beaux-Arts du Genevois and has been painting for some twenty years.
She primarily creates figurative works in oil on linen canvas, depicting vintage objects—such as worn suitcases and old cars—and other still-life subjects.
Color plays a vital role in her compositions, which can take on a striking graphic quality.
More recently, Christine Chevieux has turned to painting large-scale floral works, capturing specific details and sections of flowers with a keen focus on light and color nuances.
You can admire a selection of these vibrant floral canvases during the exhibition, which is being held to mark the 120th anniversary of the Samoëns Botanical Garden.
Admission is free during the library's opening hours.
