Description
What becomes of these snow-covered lands that host many winter sports when spring returns? Come and discover the dual nature of our alpine pastures, between working lands and ski slopes, in rhythm with the seasons.
Continuing the sensitive thread of the exhibition presented at the Ferme Isidore this autumn, Caroline Gallien-Lavorel invites us to explore the soul of the alpine pastures—living landscapes where vast spring and summer meadows transform into skiing areas in winter. Her artistic vision highlights the beauty of these ever-changing mountains and pays tribute to those who shape them every day: the farmers of Combloux and the shepherds who, through their work and pastoral practices, write the history and memory of these lands.
