With Lisières, Aline Kundig and Nathalie Laforge invite us to go beyond the boundaries of the visible, to cross both the thresholds of enchanted forests and the limits of reality.

At the edge of the woods, where the shadows grow dense and contours fade, a world persists that is imperceptible to hurried eyes. *Lisières* is an invitation to cross the boundaries of the visible, to step beyond both the thresholds of enchanted forests and the limits of reality. Changing one’s perspective is like opening a door to the unknown—where the supernatural does not hide, but waits to be observed. In this exhibition, which takes the form of a poetic investigation, two artists bring together their visions and practices to reveal the myths and creatures lurking at the heart of the trees. Aline Kundig, a photographer, has explored forests at night, searching for those pivotal moments when reality wavers. In her images, fairy-tale or fantastical creatures emerge, captured in the moment as unsettling evidence of a parallel world. Nathalie Laforge, a visual artist, presents a series of plant imprints on fabric and paper. These natural forms, which lend themselves to pareidolia, reveal strange silhouettes—fantastic apparitions born of a dialogue between the artist’s gaze and the plants. To further this sensory exploration, Dr. Sébastien de Kostine’s study plates of mermaids are also on display. They lend scientific credibility and offer a rigorous anatomical perspective on the existence of these extraordinary creatures.
