Description
A play by MARCEL PAGNOL, directed by DELPHINE DEPARDIEU and ARTHUR CACHIA
The magic of Marcel Pagnol shines through in this story, which is as earthy as it is tender, as funny as it is at times fierce, yet never malicious. The humanity of the characters, the sense of plot, the dramatic yet comical progression – everything that defines Pagnol is there. Arthur Cachia, whose southern roots lend the role the perfect depth, portrays a fully-fledged and unapologetic ‘Schpountz’. He takes us from his uncle’s back room in the Vieux-Port to the ‘Tout-Paris’ of the film world. What a delight!
