Description
In the hamlet of La Frasse, the stone cellar-and-loft complex built in 1671 is the most extraordinary remnant in Haute-Savoie of the vast wave of merchant migration of days gone by. Its terrace is home to the oldest “4-digit” mark.
Acquired by the municipality in 2001 and preserved and renovated in 2013–2014, the La Frasse granary—remarkable for its ornate façade—stands as a unique testament to the success of the itinerant merchants of yesteryear.
