Cultural and congress centre, sports hall (426 seats, audience of 1,100 standing). Shows already hosted: Wishbone Ash, Rhoda Scott, Anne Roumanoff, Izia, The Gladiators, The Congos, Opéra-Studio from Geneva etc.
This complex, which was inaugurated in 2007, is one of the largest cultural and sports centres in Haute-Savoie. Part of it has been designed for sports, with a 800 sq.m. gymnasium with an area for ball sports (basketball, handball, volleyball), a climbing wall, a dance practice room and a judo hall. The other part of the building has been designed for cultural events, receptions and business meetings. It includes a 426-seat theatre (1100 standing places) that has all the resources required for a wide range of shows, concerts or conferences. This section of the complex also has a 70 sq.m. meeting room. Each section of the building has its own entrance, making both parts independent of each other. Finally, Le Bois aux Dames has a café, serving light refreshments, overlooking the lakes (Lacs aux Dames). There are also tennis courts, an open-air swimming pool (summer only) and a range of other activities and events.
The sports hall is not open to individuals. For groups, a fully-qualified instructor is required.
