Description
At an altitude of 1660m, Lac de Roy is the crossroads of numerous hikes and an ideal place for hikers to take a break and admire the panoramic view of the Mont Blanc range.
Lac de Roy occupies the cirque of an ancient glacier suspended high above Le Praz-de-Lys. In summer, the setting is very welcoming and relaxing. Surrounded by cows, you'll spend a pleasant moment admiring the Mont-Blanc chain.
Easy 30-minute walk from Praz de Lys.
During the summer holidays, the site can get very crowded: it’s best to go before noon or in the late afternoon, and consider taking the Giffre shuttle buses to get to the starting point.
