Description
The nine municipalities of the Pays Rochois Community of Municipalities share a common heritage—a fragile artistic heritage that must be preserved, restored, or replaced using specific techniques and craftsmanship.
From late 19th-century stained glass—crafted in the J. Bessac workshop in Grenoble and restored in the following century—to 20th-century creations from the Fleury Abbey in Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire or by Christinne Charbonnel of Saint-Pierre-en-Faucigny (awarded the *Meilleur Ouvrier de France* title for artistic stained glass), local towns and villages open the doors to their churches and chapels, inviting you to experience the light of their stained-glass windows. You can compare them, observe their similarities, and appreciate their differences—delightful surprises await!
