La Ruche welcomes you at the foot of the Beauregard plateau with its many walks and its cross country skiing area, and in front of the Croix Fry ski runs, at an altitude of 1500m.

Le Centre La Ruche - La Salle was created to welcome snow classes in winter
for parisian families. In spotting in Savoie, the initiators of the project stopped at
Manigod, and so in the early 1970s, construction of the La Ruche center began.
Why «La Ruche»? When the building was constructed there were so many trades working together and so many people that the place already looked like a Human Hive! The vocation of the House as a Family House was born.
From 2014, La Ruche implemented a real renovation plan:
2014: Complete renovation of 26 rooms on the 2nd floor.
2017: Renovation of 26 rooms on the 3rd floor and the ground floor.
2019: Complete renovation of the first floor, dedicated to activity or class rooms and catering.
2020: Complete change of the roof. Complete renovation of the facade and thermal insulation of the entire building. Renovation of all road access with installation of a certifi ed «heavy goods vehicle» coating and a heating cable on the roadway in order to secure the path of children going skiing.
Family atmosphere guarranteed, traditional meals, and savoyard specialities.
Capacity max : 180 people. Bedrooms of 2 to 5 beds with shower and sink. Game room, audio, TV... School discovery classes. Groups : holiday camps, meetings. Family gathering or individual stay...

The centre has four rooms adapted for wheelchair users. A lift is available for guests.
Bus stop:
You can reach the La Ruche centre by free shuttle bus from Thônes on the M line. The bus stop is a 2-minute walk away.
Convenience shop:
La Ferme de l’Etale is accessible by bus from the centre. It takes barely 10 minutes to get there.
You’ll also find a shop selling local produce, La Casa, at the Col de la Croix Fry, a 5-minute walk away.
Cycling:
You can arrive by road bike or bring your mountain bike and make use of the bike station opposite the centre.
