This walk along the Arve offers both walkers and mountain bikers a moment of relaxation and discovery of local fauna and flora as well as magnificent viewpoints of the massif du Salève

During this walk you'll come across beavers, little grebes, reed buntings and other rare birds that come to nest in these woods. With the lakes and islands on the other side of the river, you can discover a nature reserve that has been designated a biotope. Further along, after passing the bridge at Étrembières and then going past the attractive "Jardin des Iris" and the Grand Casino, you'll take the wooded path to Creuse and then cross the footbridge over the Menoge which links the municipalities of Bétraz-Monthoux and Arthaz. A few minutes later you'll enjoy a lovely view of the river.

By bus from Gaillard: take the T2 “Châtelaine” line, then walk 5 minutes to reach the trail. By bus from Annemasse: take the TAC 4 line to the “Lycée professionnel” stop, then walk 5 minutes to reach the banks of the Arve On foot or by bike The ViaRhôna and several greenways run through this area. This is the preferred route for cyclists. There are numerous access points, notably near the Étrembières Bridge or via the Perrier area. By car Upper access: Cheneviers parking lot, near the Bois de Vernaz in Gaillard, or Îles parking lot in Étrembières. (Rue de l’Eau Belle) – From the Îles ponds, follow the left bank to the Zone Bridge, which you cross to reach the right-bank trail. Downstream access: Pont Neuf parking lot in Arthaz-Pont-Notre-Dame. Parking: The closest parking lot is often the Complexe Sportif de l’Arve or the Fossard P+R park-and-ride lot in Gaillard. Access is easy via Route de Genève or Avenue de l’Arve.
