The region is dotted with numerous mountain pastures, where livestock were taken during the summer months. These mountains, as the locals called them, each had their own strengths and weaknesses, but some were considered better than others.

In winter, they were left under the snow, and their design was built to withstand the elements. Go on a hike to explore an alpine pasture and visit an authentic alpine chalet built over a century ago. And if there’s snow on the ground, put on your snowshoes! An easy mountain hike with a maximum elevation gain of 200 meters. Snowshoes are provided. Please bring hiking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and water. Bookings can be made at the Tourist Information Offices of the Evian-Vallée d'Abondance region - Leman Mountains Explore. Reservations are recommended for tours. Reservations can be made right up to the last minute via the online store. Mediators cannot accept cash payments under any circumstances. If the tour is full, the mediator has the right to refuse visitors. If the tour is full, online booking is no longer possible.
