Description
New: presentation of the chasuble cabinet and the restored harmonium.
Occasionally open to the public, the chapel of the former Bernardine convent—built in the late 17th century—reveals a magnificent early 18th-century altarpiece; its restoration has been a subject of ongoing discussion for many years. A presentation featuring the vestment cabinet will offer an opportunity to explore the challenges involved in textile preservation.
A special highlight: the Bernardine convent’s harmonium has also recently undergone restoration and will be presented to you by an enthusiastic volunteer.
Guided tour led by a Savoie Mont-Blanc Heritage Guide. Meeting point: in front of the chapel.
