An old independent village, the hamlet of La Frasse was incorporated into the commune of Arâches in 1974.

The inhabitants of La Frasse are called Les Angorins. Notable buildings to visit include the church, the presbytery, shrines, and old farmhouses. Traditional festivals are also celebrated here.
