Stone and wood are present everywhere in the Abbey of Abondance. But what are the characteristics of these building materials?

Divided into teams, identify the materials and natural resources and their use in construction thanks to an investigation trail in the heart of the Abbey of Abondance (what will be the ideal rock to make a fountain for the cloister). Then, access the monastery's frameworks to observe the evolution of this unique assembly. A sheltered route in case of bad weather is available. Reservations required.

Access

From the shores of Lake Geneva, access via the Gavot plateau, heading towards the Abondance valley (approx. 40 mins).

The entrance to the site is located at Place de l’Abbatiale, accessible from the village centre via the Passage des Chanoines.

Separate access to the church (no visits during services).
