From 7.30pm - Groovewax: Somewhere between hiphop and reggae productions, the instrumentation is sometimes soulful, sometimes inspired by jazz and electro, Groovewax offers a rhythmic elucubration that incorporates the mid-tempo hip-hop influences of New Yorkers just expatriated from Kingston. From 9.30pm - Massilia Sound System: Before being a live band, Massilia Sound System, as its name suggests, is a sound system in the Jamaican sense of the word: a sound system, turntables to play reggae records and DJs/Toasters to set the mood and sing their lyrics to the instrumental versions of the records. Forty years of uninterrupted activity, all over France and the world. Forty years marked by seventeen albums (studio albums, live recordings, DVD), a film (directed by Christian Philibert in 2016), a book (written by Camille Martel, reissued in 2021 by Editions Le Mot et Le Reste) and a multitude of concerts...
