Nestled in the heart of a coniferous forest, this easy hike takes you to the magnificent Lac Vert in Passy Mont-Blanc. A true natural jewel, the lake owes its unique emerald color to the presence of algae and the exceptional transparency of its waters, which give a glimpse of submerged trunks and vegetation. This enchanting spectacle attracts the gaze of Mont-Blanc, which is often reflected here in perfect tranquillity. Classified as a protected natural site, Lac Vert is a fragile ecosystem. To preserve its purity and biodiversity, swimming is strictly forbidden. Even small amounts of sunscreen or other substances can upset the balance. An ideal walk for young and old, combining wonder and respect for nature.

Bus access: line Y85, "Plaine-Joux" stop. Timetable on https://borini.com/region/ Access by car: follow the D43 towards "Plaine-Joux". Park in the Plaine-Joux parking lot. There is a barrier between the Plaine-Joux parking lot and the Lac Vert parking lot. In July and August, free shuttle buses run between the Plaine-Joux parking lot and Lac Vert. Outside this period, and for people with reduced mobility only, you can request the barrier code from the Passy tourist office on presentation of proof.
