Grandes voies climbing course for 11 year olds -Cie des guides Chamonix

This climbing course has been specially designed to discover the techniques involved in multi-pitch routes. Every day, our program explores new sites, guaranteeing a varied and stimulating experience while allowing youngsters to push their limits, creating lasting memories. The emphasis is on being part of a team, requiring communication and coordination. The young people are invited to co-construct the week's program by choosing itineraries from the topo. In order to guarantee optimal skill development and an appropriate level of safety, registration requires a number of prerequisites: young people must be able to climb on their own, have experience of lead climbing including belay handling, and be at least 11 years old. We also offer a "Grandes voies" course for adults. Teaching approaches - Workshops on the ground, then at height, to master belaying and rope management. - Installation of abseil and descent system: belay system and self-locking device - Selection of routes and sites according to the technical level and experience of the young climbers.
