Genealogical research help sessions

➡️ In a nutshell A name, a date, a place... and sometimes an entire family history waiting to be uncovered. Every Friday, the Pays du Mont-Blanc branch of the *Centre Généalogique de Savoie* (Genealogical Center of Savoy) welcomes you to Combloux to help you advance your research and trace the threads of your family history. ➡️ What you can do there Create or flesh out your family tree, search for an ancestor, locate a specific record, or place family members within the context and events of their time. You can build your tree by hand or digitally. The team will guide you in using the various resources available to further your research. ➡️ Resources at your disposal On-site, you can access: - departmental archives from across France to search for birth, marriage, and death certificates, as well as other archival documents; - various online genealogical resources; - contacts from the *Centre Généalogique de Savoie*; - archives compiled by the branch regarding the municipalities of the Pays du Mont-Blanc area. ➡️ Who is it for? For those who have already started their family tree and hit a stubborn "brick wall," as well as for beginners who want to get started but don't yet know where to begin. Your ancestors do not need to be from Combloux or Savoy; the available resources allow for research across departmental archives throughout France. ➡️ How the sessions work Come along with your current research, your initial information, or simply your questions. Members of the Pays du Mont-Blanc branch are there to guide you through the various resources and help you continue your genealogical investigation.
