Take a walk and discover the Plains forest and the animals that live there.
A forest walk suitable for the whole family.
Starting from the Les Plaines parking lot, this trail will take you on a journey through the life cycle of trees, beginning with a seed and growing into a forest.
Along the way, you’ll learn about the animals that live there in a fun and engaging way.
You can end the hike with a picnic at the Les Plaines picnic area, play at the playground, or relax on the daybeds.
You can also extend the walk to the Avenaz chalets, where you’ll enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Mont Blanc range.
Update as of June 3, 2026: Roadwork on the forest road toward Les Plaines is scheduled through Friday, July 3. This road will therefore be closed during the work. To access your route, you can take the Cornillon trail, either uphill or downhill. Contact Cordon Tourisme for more information.
