Forest discovery trail - walking trail

Forest walk suitable for the whole family. Departing from the Plaines parking lot, this trail takes you through the life of trees, starting with the seed and growing up to the forest. Along the way, you'll discover the animals that live there in a playful way. The hike can end with a picnic on the landscaped Les Plaines area, or by playing in the playground or relaxing on the loungers. You can also extend the walk to the chalets de l'Avenaz, where you'll discover a magnificent panorama of the Mont-Blanc range. Information 03/06/2026: Work on the forest road to Les Plaines is scheduled to continue until the end of June. This road will therefore not be accessible during the work. To access your itinerary, you can take the Chemin de Cornillon in either direction. Contact Cordon Tourisme for further information. Whatever your hike, remember to pack cereal bars, plenty of water, sunglasses, sun cream, a small first-aid kit, and clothing suited to the season and weather forecast. This itinerary can also be done accompanied, by hiring a mountain leader.
