Accessible to all types of hikers, from the most experienced to those taking their first steps, this hike will enable you to discover the extraordinary flora and fauna of our mountains. Different access routes are possible, depending on your hiking profile.
Half-board, packed lunches, aperitif boards, soft drinks, but also real on-site catering at lunchtime, where you can sample Savoyard specialities (fondue savoyarde, farcement, diots, blueberry tart, ...) or our house specialities (sweet potato tart, chocolate coconut fondant, lemon tart, Savoyard "aligot", boeuf bourguignon, ...).
Leaning against the slopes of Criou, facing Tuet and the Dents d'Oddaz ridges, the refuge can be the goal of a day hike, or a base for access to Lac des Chambres, Pointe de Bellegarde, the Vogealle loop, or more mountaineering-oriented itineraries (Pointe des Avoudrues). A veritable balcony overlooking the Giffre and Arve valleys, you'll never forget its sunsets!
Nearest village or resort: Samoëns. Walking time from nearest parking lot: 2h (path can be vertiginous; presence of safety cables). Access by footpath: Le chemin du pied du crêt (easiest): 2h15 - 740m ascent - Le chemin du Crêt (more aerial): 2h00 - 560m ascent. Also accessible with a donkey, mountain bike (with very good control), snowshoes, ski touring, all-terrain wheelchair and joëlette.
