A fishing port… in Thonon-les-Bains? As witnesses to a rich history of fishing on the shores of Lake Geneva, a few professional fishermen are still active today at the Port of Thonon… From the picturesque fishing huts in their village of Rives, they set out with their nets and traps to fish the vast waters of Lake Geneva. They “head out” daily to check their traps and return to the harbor with their catch: féras (whitefish), perch, trout, Arctic char, burbot, crayfish...
