A romantic walk between two emblematic villages of Lake Geneva: Yvoire and Nernier.

From Yvoire, a medieval village, to Nernier, the "Pearl of Lake Geneva", the pupils will discover the history of the Chablais landscapes, the human settlement in the region and the evolution of local life. They will get to know the great men who have lived on the shores of Lake Geneva and who were inspired by the local landscapes: Lamartine, Rousseau, Byron, Shelley... Several themes will be addressed: the history of human settlement and villages, with a parenthesis on the wars of religion (Vaudois path); the Lake Geneva region and the Romantics; local architecture and the built heritage, including the contemporary achievements of the architect Maurice Novarina; the formation of landscapes and the use of local resources: the links with geology. Duration of the outing: 3h to 3h30 - indoor retreat in case of bad weather - possibility of picnic on site on request Free parking for school buses - Meeting point in front of the tourist office at the entrance to the medieval village (Yvoire) What to bring: shoes and clothes suitable for an outdoor visit, notebook, pencil Additional activities possible (with supplement): visit of the Garden of the Five Senses, solar boat cruise
