FETE DE LA SCIENCE - randonnée initiation à la météo de montagne et histoire des glaciers

Spend a morning hiking the trails of Saint-Gervais, accompanied by a guide from the Saint-Gervais Guides’ Company. Take in the scenery and discover the connections between weather, panoramic views and the history of the glaciers. The outing explores the region’s glacial history without going directly onto a glacier. Meet at 9:15 a.m. in front of the Saint-Nicolas Tourist Office. The hike ends at the same place at noon, in time to catch the 12:11 p.m. shuttle. On the way there, the shuttle leaves Châtelet at 8:50 a.m. and stops in front of the Tourist Office at 9:06 a.m. Registration is available through the Tourist Office until Friday morning at the latest. Places are limited to 10 participants (11 if the final registration is for a couple). Registration closes after that, as the office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The list of participants is sent to the guides on Friday afternoon. Children aged 8 and over may take part. There is no upper age limit, but participants should be reasonably fit. Please report any medical condition when registering, such as having a pacemaker or diabetes. The Saint-Gervais Guides’ Company will decide whether participation is appropriate.
