Festival les Vagabondes d'été

Performances with a view of Mont Blanc, workshops, readings, a concert, and gatherings at the open-air café. For a demanding, vibrant, and authentic form of popular theater—one that leaves no one out! Summer wanderers, so that this summer belongs to us and brings us together—welcome. Highlighted by a special weekend featuring performances, workshops, readings, and gatherings with local partner organizations—all designed to help us get to know one another better and enjoy an extended time together—this festival will mark a new turning point toward greater, long-term sharing around our creative works. With the open-air café always brightly lit and brimming with delicious food, audience members will be invited to enjoy a program of events both during the day and in the evening. Our productions: performances that open the door to reflection and discussion about society through fiction. The productions: > Play “La Bonne Âme du Se-Tchouan” The gods descend to Earth in search of a good soul. They meet Shen Té. To thank her, they give her a shop. Many of her fellow citizens seem to need help—what will Shen Té do with this new life? > Play: “Ubu Roi” In a devastated Poland, King Wenceslas owns everything. Exhausted by living in poverty, the childish and hot-tempered Father Ubu sinks into melancholy. To lift the country out of poverty, Mother Ubu convinces him to kill the monarch and take his place. > Play: “The Dandelion Theorem” Tao and Li-Na live in Village-au-Rocher. On his 13th birthday, Tao leaves the village for the City-of-the-Factory-of-the-World’s-Objects. Desperate, Li-Na sets out in his footsteps. Beyond the issue of illegal child labor, the show explores friendship and imagination as tools of resistance. The guests: > Quincaillerie - CIE La Rustine On a corner of a workbench, Quincaillerie reimagines classic monster tales through music and object theater. This first episode plunges you into the obsessive hunt for Moby Dick. > Les Pieuvres - CIE Plexus - amateur troupe In a specialized center for “fishbowl freaks,” Alix hears her brother’s voice in her head, and Camille sometimes feels her throat tighten so much she can’t breathe. One day, Ana bursts in and disrupts their bond. > HYPERTHERMIE Concert Vocals, piano, drums, and bass for an intense and heartwarming experience.
