Discover the animals and modern milking techniques at the Ferme des Montagnards before taking part in a fun butter-making workshop. An immersive experience at the heart of milk processing, offering a deeper understanding of the farm’s expertise.

➡️ The Experience in a Nutshell Step into the daily life of a mountain farm and discover what it’s like to be a farmer during a guided tour that will delight young and old alike! You’ll meet the various farm animals and see the automated milking system in action! ➡️ Where It Takes Place The activity takes place at Ferme des Montagnards in Combloux, in the heart of a farm where visitors of all ages can observe the animals and gain a better understanding of farm life in the mountains. ➡️ Highlights of the Activity - A lively tour to discover the animals and their roles on the farm. - A hands-on workshop on dairy processing. - A fun and educational experience, accessible to the whole family. ➡️ What You’ll Experience After the farm tour, it’s time to get hands-on! By working with the cream, you’ll discover how it gradually turns into butter. Everyone takes part in this traditional process before tasting the results of their workshop. It’s a hands-on way to understand the connection between livestock farming, milk, and the products we find on our plates. ➡️ The Extra Touch This workshop lets you move from observation to hands-on experimentation. Visitors don’t just learn how a farm works—they get their hands dirty making their own butter. ➡️ Who is it for? An ideal activity for families, curious children, and anyone who wants to better understand daily life on a mountain farm. ➡️ Reservations Reservations are required through the Mont Blanc Ferme Péda Association. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing for the weather and comfortable shoes. The activity will take place with a minimum of 8 participants. If fewer than 8 participants sign up, the organization will notify you by phone. This tour is accessible to people with physical and intellectual disabilities. People with visual or hearing impairments are, of course, also welcome, even though we do not have specific assistive devices available.
