This circular route, starting from the Châtelet car park, offers a complete immersion in the landscapes of the Val Montjoie, combining forest trails, mountain pastures and spectacular views.
The loop begins with a gentle climb along the Val Montjoie path, followed by the ascent via the Chemin des Bouquetins, a shaded route leading to the charming village of Saint-Nicolas de Véroce. After passing through the picturesque hamlet of Les Chattrix, the route gains altitude and joins the multi-use track leading to the Bettex plateau, offering unobstructed views of the Mont Blanc massif.
The descent then begins via the Monts Rosset, a more technical section offering a varied and fun ride down towards the Robinson area. A final stretch through the woods takes mountain bikers back to the Châtelet car park, completing a well-balanced route combining climbs, panoramic views and dynamic descents.
Wearing a helmet and protective gear is strongly recommended; a mountain bike suitable for downhill riding with an appropriate braking system is required. A mountain biking guide is available from all bike hire companies in the valley as well as at the Tourist Information Offices.
