E-Mountain Bike Route No. 12 – Lake Joux

This e-MTB route starting from Mont d’Arbois offers a magnificent high-altitude escape, taking in mountain pastures, panoramic ridges and a high-altitude lake. The climb begins towards Mont Joux along a wide, smooth track through the pastures. The electric assistance makes it easy to tackle the steeper gradients. Once at the summit of Mont Joux, an exceptional panorama opens up over the Mont Blanc massif, the Aravis and the Fiz. It’s the perfect moment for a photo stop or a snack. The route then continues towards Lac de Joux, a little gem high up in the mountains, nestled in lush greenery. Arriving at the lake is a moment of true calm and coolness, ideal for a contemplative break or a picnic. You can return via the same route or via a smoother alternative. Wearing a helmet and protective gear is strongly recommended; a mountain bike suitable for downhill riding with an appropriate braking system is required.
