Starting from Cluses, head to the beautiful village of Le Reposoir, where you can explore its Carmelite monastery. Continue your climb to the Col de Romme, made famous by the Tour de France, then descend back to Cluses via the scenic route.
Starting from the Espace Carpano (next to the Watchmaking Museum), take the greenway near the old bridge. It runs along the Arve River and Avenue Louis Rouxel. At the Mont-Blanc roundabout, take the first left toward Scionzier, Le Reposoir (Col de la Colombière), and Nancy-sur-Cluses. Follow the D4 for 12 km to reach the village of Le Reposoir. During this first part of the route, you’ll travel along the Col de la Colombière road, a legendary pass that the Tour de France has traversed many times. To reach the Col de Romme, take the D119 at the entrance to the village of Le Reposoir. For 6 km, enjoy the tranquility of this ride toward Romme. While the first few kilometers have a steep gradient, the rest of the climb is gentler. Once you reach the Col de Romme, get ready to descend toward Cluses.
Please ride carefully! The slope can be steep.
