Descent from the Col des Aravis

From Col des Aravis, follow the GRP Tournette-Aravis towards Crèvetout and Crêt du Merle. Enjoy views of the Beauregard and Etale massifs, as well as the beautiful traditional chalets along the way. Once you've reached Crêt du Merle, you can take the chairlift down to the village center (free descent). Please note that this route is a one-way itinerary: the starting point can be reached by free shuttle bus, while the return to the village is done by chairlift. The GPX track has been created accordingly. It is also possible to do the route in the opposite direction by taking the chairlift up to Crêt du Merle (paid ascent) and returning to the village by free shuttle bus. The shuttle buses and chairlift only operate during the high season, generally in July and August. Exact timetables and prices are available from the Tourist Office. Outside the operating period of the shuttle buses and lifts, this route can be done as an out-and-back hike starting from the Col des Aravis or the Crêt du Merle car park. Whatever hike you choose, remember to pack snacks, enough water, sunglasses, sunscreen, a small first-aid kit, as well as clothing suitable for your outing depending on the season and the weather forecast.
